Nursing Home Patient Dies, Police Investigate Possible Abuse

Police are investigating the care of a nursing home patient in search of possible abuse. The patient was sent to the hospital and later died. He was left outside for a long period of time, developing second degree burns and suffering dehydration.

The patient went into cardiac arrest after being outside for too long. Police want to verify if there was abuse taking place at the nursing home before the patient died. The nursing home facility has been cited by surveyors for care issues in the past. For more, read the story
