A nursing home patient has died after trying to escape from his room through a window with bedsheets. The patient fell 34 feet to his death. He was found in the parking lot by someone coming inside the building.
An investigation is underway to identify if any violations of care occurred. One issue already identified was that the window should not have opened more than 7 inches, but a part was missing to lock it down. For more, read the story.
