A nursing home patient was killed by another nursing home patient who was his roommate at the facility. The patient who beat his roommate to death with a piece of furniture was taken to a state hospital to undergo a competency evaluation. The patient who was beaten was 86 years old.
He was taken to the hospital the morning of the incident and died the following night. Police are still investigating the incident. For more, read the story.
