Nursing Home Patient Put In Bed Early Due To Low Staffing

Nursing home patients are being put to bed as early as 5pm due to low staffing levels. Sometimes patients were put to bed late because no one was available to assist them to bed. During a 7pm to 7am shift there were 3 caregivers for 36 patients.

Surveyors observed these issues as well as others citing patient missing medication and other errors. Patients were calling out for help and staff did not come back for 30 minutes to assist. For more, read the story
