Nursing Home Patient Struck By Employee

A nursing home employee has been charged with abuse after allegedly punching a patient. The employee also attempted to wrestle the patient using a racial slur during the incident. The state's attorney general pressed charges noting the employee appeared to be on drugs and smelled of alcohol.

“My office will continue to prosecute those who endanger our most vulnerable residents,” said the state attorney. “[Our state's citizens] deserve assurance that their loved ones will be appropriately cared for in skilled nursing facilities.” For more, read the story
