A nursing home has been accused of abuse following the development of pressure ulcers or bed sores on a patient. The patient alleges the sores could have been avoided. The patient experienced pain as a result of the bed sores while recovering from triple-bypass surgery.
A lawsuit has been filed for damages alleging the nursing home did not provide adequate care or take proper precautions to prevent the bed sores. Damages are greater than $50,000. For more, read the story.
