Nursing Home Patient Wanders, Freezes To Death

An investigation is underway for a patient who was found dead outside a nursing home facility. The patient went missing after dinner and was found outside hours later. The patient was in bitter cold temperatures that surely caused her death. There was no other trauma noted to her body. 

The patient was known for wandering and looking for family during her time at the facility. The staff was aware and was known to redirect her at times while wandering. However, the patient was allowed to get outside the facility at the time that she froze to death. For more, read the story
