Nursing Home Patients Stolen Jewelry Recovered

A woman posing as a healthcare worker has been sentenced to 65 years in jail after stealing thousands of dollars, jewelry, and other keepsakes from nursing home patients. The patients ranged in ages from their 70s to 100. Loved ones of the patients could not believe the woman stole from their parents.

One patient called her son with tears over the wrongdoing. The woman claimed to be hooked on cocaine, although no evidence was presented to prove it to be true. The families said it would have no bearing on their pain and disappointment for their loved ones either way. In all 3,000 pieces of jewelry were recovered. For more, read the story
