Nursing Home Placed On Probation For Allowing Physical Abuse Towards Patient

A nursing home is on probation for not properly handling an incident involving abuse and neglect. The home also failed to report the incident to the department of health. A patient suffered physical abuse as a result.

The state had this to say about the probation status, “these violations were evidenced by the facility’s failure to protect residents from potential ongoing alleged abuse, not reporting an alleged abuse or misappropriation and not investigating the alleged abuse/misappropriation.” For more, read the story.
