A 41-year-old nursing home patient has confessed to the murder of his 73-year-old roommate. The body of the elderly hospice patient was discovered inside the room the two men shared. Officials originally thought the man had suffered a fall. However, a police investigation revealed that the man had been the victim of a battery.
When police questioned the roommate, he admitted that he struck the victim before his death. Official records show that both men have been arrested in the past for drug offenses. Police have not yet determined the motive for the crime. It is also unknown why the elderly man was paired with a roommate who was significantly younger. For more, read the story.
