Nursing Home Resident Allegedly Taunted by Caregivers, Intentionally Triggering Resident's Fear and Anxiety

A lawsuit was born following a leaked footage of a nursing home resident being allegedly taunted by two of her caregivers.   According to a report, the nursing home resident had a fear of hospital gowns, of which her caregivers were aware.   One caregiver purportedly recorded a video of the other caregiver hovering over the resident with a hospital gown, intentionally scaring her.   The video was then given the label “[Resident’s Name] Hates Gowns.”

“Imagine what was happening when the cameras were off if this is what they’re broadcasting,” said the attorney of the plaintiff in the lawsuit.   “We’re bringing the lawsuit to create awareness that this kind of thing goes on.”   For more, read the story.
