Nursing Home Resident Sues and Wins Lawsuit

A former nursing home resident files a lawsuit claiming negligence of worker that would not assist her in going to the restroom. Allegedly the worker told the resident that she was busy and could not help her.

The resident had previously had knee surgery and when she attempted to go the restroom, she fell and damaged her knee and lost so much blood that she needed to be resuscitated upon arriving to the hospital.

The injury was so severe that the resident ultimately decided to have the injured leg amputated because she continued to have so many problems with it and she thought it would not ever be stable. The negligent worker was not certified and had a previous history of poor work performance.  For more, read the story.
