Nursing home residents were surprised with holiday gifts from a local business. The purpose was to appreciate and thank seniors for the impact they have made on their country and the sacrifices they made in their lifetimes. Each resident received a gift and a carnation.
One resident was interviewed and expressed her gratitude. “When you’re in a home like this you often don’t get visitors; although my family is very good and they come to see me. I’m blessed. It’s good to know people I don’t know come too,” she said. For more, read the story.
