Officials of a nursing home are being questioned but offering no responses regarding an incident at their facility. A patient sexually assaulted another patient at the nursing home, however, the incident was never reported. The facility director at the time did not take any steps to investigate the incident. No medical attention was sought, nor were authorities notified of the incident.
State officials have since learned that the former director not only falsified records to cover up the incident at his facility, but also had awareness of the patient’s sexual tendencies with other patients at a previous facility. Nursing staff raised concerns about the patient who also suffered from dementia, however, nothing was done by the administration of the facility, allowing a sexual assault to occur.
