A family is suing a nursing home for neglecting their loved one. During his stay it was known to the nursing home staff that the resident was at a high risk for aspiration. During the brief time he was a patient there, only a matter of days, he became sick. The patient suffered from vomiting, low blood oxygen saturation, and an increased heart-rate.
When the facility finally sent the resident to a hospital, he died the next day. His family is now saying that the treatment the nursing home neglected to provide him caused suffering from injuries and a painful death, leaving behind high medical expenses.
