Nursing Home Surveillance Cameras Can Bring Justice To Abuse Incidents

Surveillance cameras can reveal abuse in nursing homes, but do not always prevent it as one state's reports of abuse reveal. The cameras are legal in this state, but the state still has a high rate of abuse among its nursing home patients. Consent forms are required by roommates of patients with cameras and a posted sign that surveillance is in progress. 

All payment for equipment to install cameras is left with the family. However, peace of mind is the return for many family members who choose this type of monitoring for their loved ones.
