Nursing home employees are accused of swindling $750,000 from a dementia patient. The employees including a hairstylists received large checks they cashed from her. Other employees also went to the ATM using her account to withdraw funds.
A guardian has been put in place to assume responsibility for her finances to protect her from future theft. A new policy has also been put into place to forbid employees from receiving any gifts from patients. One of the employees has agreed to pay back the money they stole. A lawsuit is pending.
