A family member is looking for justice on behalf of his late wife whose diamond band was stolen at the nursing home where she resided. The band was a gift from her husband and became a permanent fixture on her hand. She never removed the ring until it was taken off her hand by a nurse working at the facility. The nursing home patient was not the only victim of the theft.
The jewelry stolen from the patients included wedding bands, solitaires, and necklaces, and was sold in pawn shops. After finding there were others, the patient’s husband decided to participate in bringing all of the theft victims to justice. “I was furious. I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I just couldn’t believe it. To go on a rampage and steal from a bunch of elderly residents is disgusting.” For more, read the story.
