Nursing Home To Settle Pending Lawsuits

Two nursing home lawsuits are in the process of settling.  One lawsuit involves a patient who wandered from the facility.  The patient died and the facility was fined $25,000. 

The state cited that the facility “failed to ensure the door alarm to the courtyard on the facility's Alzheimer's Unit was engaged and the door not propped open.” The facility plans to settle for $1 million. For more, read the story
