Another family has come forward to speak out against the care received where their loved one a patient. The nursing home facility is currently under federal investigation and is causing concerns among family members and the local community, in addition government investigators. The family has shared the experience of their loved one saying the patient received an overdose of pain medication.
“She had an overdose of medication there that caused her to go to the hospital and she died,” she said. “They brought her back.” The patient was given a medication to reverse the effects of a Fentanyl patch. The patient had two patches applied when there should only be one.
The family had internalized concerns prior to the overdose incident, however, this event was more than they could justify in their minds. The family believes the patient was lucky to survive. For more, read the story.
