A nursing home under fire for poor quality care to its patients has turned a profit of more than $1 million. The nursing home was under financial duress until new owners took over the facility. The nursing home had 70 percent of its patients covered by Medicare and Medicaid payments.
The home only has a 1 star rating, making its profit a concern and question to the attorney general's office currently prosecuting it. Patient records have been confiscated as part of an investigation against the nursing home. For more, read the story.
