Nursing Home Under Investigation For Violations Of Patient Care

A nursing home is under scrutiny after reports of nursing care concerns have surfaced through staff at the nursing home and department of health investigations. The nursing home has been accused of hiring staff without licensing, as well as staff that falsified records in other facilities out of state before working at the current nursing home facility.

The department of health noted the following citations among 12 others:
· “Licensed nurse failed to serve food under sanitary conditions.”
· “Failed to ensure practices to prevent the spread of infection and cross contamination.’
· “Failed to ensure the environment was free of pests as evidenced by roaches.”
The nursing home administrator would not comment on the accusations or concerns for quality of care. For more, read the story.
