A nursing home is receiving speculation after state investigators are reviewing the protocol the facility followed after a hurricane came through the area. The nursing home had patients in up to a foot of water mixed with urine and feces. The public was ready to rescue to rescue the patients from the facility. Some were stranded in wheelchairs.
The nursing home administration refused to allow the patients to leave at that time. Police had to handcuff the administrator to allow rescuers to remove the patients as needed. For more, read the story.
