Nursing Home Veterans Honored For Service To Their Country

One nursing home is honoring veterans for their service this Memorial Day weekend. One veteran honored for his service was joined by his family for the ceremony. The family believes it was a special moment for him as his time in the service prevented him from accepting his awards for service in person.

“When he was in [the service], he didn't get his medals. And they came in an envelope in the '70s, I remember that.  And he chucked them in a suitcase. so this is probably a pretty big deal for him,” said the veteran's son. For more, read the story.
