A nursing home worker has been found guilty of abuse charges on five counts. She was reported to be mentally, verbally, and physically abusive. She called the patients names such as “monsters” and “idiots”. The worker also threw her shoe at residents to get them to sit down.
The police released a statement regarding the charges, “Today’s verdict should send out a strong message that the police, working with the local authorities, will robustly investigate any safeguarding concerns to ensure the most vulnerable in our communities are protected from harm.” For more, read the story.
