Nursing Home Wrongful Death Lawsuit Cites Reckless, Abusive Behavior

A patient’s daughter has filed a lawsuit for her father’s death just a few months after being admitted to a nursing home. The lawsuit states that the patient did not receive proper care which led to his severe dehydration, malnutrition, kidney failure, and ultimate death. The lawsuit also claims the nursing home staff was not properly trained to be capable of caring for the patient’s needs.

The claims also cite “reckless, abusive and violated ordinary standards of expected behavior.” The family is seeking damages for pain, suffering, mental distress, medical expenses and funeral expenses. For more, read the story.
