Nursing Home Wrongful Death Suit Cites Inadequate Staffing

A patient at a nursing home died after just eight days of admission. The patient suffered pressure sores that showed necrotic tissues, revealing muscle and bone. The patient developed sepsis and was taken to the hospital almost a week after being admitted. 

The administrator of the patient's estated is suing the nursing home, the nursing director and the facilities affiliated companies. The lawsuit alleges that policy, budgeting, and staffing levels, which caused inadequate staffing, and all affected the care of the deceased patient. For more, read the story
