Individuals in one area offered multiple complaints to a local news company, which was compared to the Department of Aging and Disabilities Services (DADS) website to verify the quality of nursing homes. The CMS 5-star rating website is recommended as a comparison site for DADS.
Some nursing homes listed on the site were ranked only 1 out of 5 stars. “I had to catheterize my mother because no one could do it,” said the loved one of a patient in a nursing home. “I don’t think the families are aware of what goes on in these place.
