Nursing Homes May Be Required To Install Cameras In One State

A lawmaker in one state is working to pass a law that would require cameras in nursing home patient's rooms. The law would allow families of patients to view video footage at any time. Nursing homes are stating they have concerns about patient privacy. 

However, supporters believe it would capture abuse and neglect in the act, as well as lessen future occurrences of it. One representative is backing the bill due to hundreds of complaints of abuse already received regarding nursing home neglect. For more, read the story
