Nursing homes are under investigation for poor quality healthcare of veterans. The veterans as patients are in need of the best care of their life for serving their country. Instead, some are experiencing the worst care. Patients are experiencing lack of turning and repositioning when completely reliant on others for care due to paralysis.
Family members identify incidents involving their loved one’s care and step in to help with the patient’s care to ensure they do not suffer. These incidents are not new, as the state health department cited a nursing home for allowing multiple patients to suffer from dehydration and being at risk for infection.
