Ombudsman Program Funded To Expand

A new ombudsman program has been funded to expand its training to recruit and educate more volunteers. The $133,000 will go to help facilitate training for new ombudsman from additional counties. New ombudsman volunteers will support additional counties with nursing home residents.

There are 1840 residents in 23 long term care facilities in the surrounding counties. Aiding volunteers with skilled training will allow them to support the effort for improved care provided to patients in long term care facilities. For more, read the story.
