The opioid epidemic is affecting many, even those supposedly protected in nursing homes. A 24-year-old maintenance worker with a severe opioid addiction began stealing patients’ jewelry to support his habit. He recently was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for stealing $10,000 worth of jewelry. For more, read the story.
