Owner of Home Care Facility Sentenced to Jail After Fall Investigation

The former owner of one home care facility was sentenced to a month in jail in connection to a resident’s fall. The State Attorney General’s office announced the sentencing of of the home care owner Monday.

According to the Attorney General’s office, the woman’s facility was investigated following a resident’s fall. Once at the facility, investigators found evidence of elder abuse and neglect as well as financial fraud within the facility.
The owner was given 30 days in jail, suspended sentence, one year probation, and fined $250. For more, read the story.
