Patient's Death Brings Lawsuit By Son

A man plans to sue a nursing home because they failed to provide a safe environment and supervision for his elderly and mentally disabled father. When his father was being admitted into the nursing home facility, he was categorized as at risk for developing bed sores and infections. During his stay there were no records of his skin condition being checked.

When the father was found he was outside of the facility, unsupervised and very ill. They sent him to the hospital immediately and found that he had sepsis and pressure sores; he died the next day. Now his son is sure that his father was neglected and he is trying to sue the facility for not correctly caring for his father. For more, read the story
