A makeup artist and photographer is bringing joy to nursing homes by creating “Glammy Pics” for patients in the facilities. The patients are photographed in hats, furs, jewelry, etc. The patients have fun taking the photos and families love having them as keepsakes. They are often the last photo taken of their loved one.
“I just love taking pictures. I think when you’re affiliated with someone in a manor, you see the sadness. It isn’t that nobody cares, but people do the same thing over and over and over,” the photographer says. “This is something completely different that gives them a little joy. I get so emotional talking about the people I’ve photographed. It’s such a gift.” For more, read the story.
