Police Arrest Assisted Living Facility Resident For Stabbing Death of Fellow Resident

Police have charged a 68-year-old man with the stabbing death of his neighbor in an assisted living facility. The suspect, who called 911 moments after the incident, told the dispatcher, “I just stabbed someone in the neck.”

When police arrived, a trail of blood in the hallway from the other resident’s room lead them to his collapsed body. The suspect told police he killed the man because he was wearing a red hat and had placed a flower on his door. The resident has been charged with murder and is being held in jail.
