Police are investigating the a suspected drug overdose of a nurse at a nursing home. The 28-year-old registered nurse was found unconscious in a bathroom at the facility in late October. According to police documents, a syringe was found in the sink and the nurse had blood on the inside of one of her arms.
The nurse was responsible for administering patient medications on the night shift. The investigation concerning the exact cause of death and whether any resident medication was not properly administered is ongoing. The police report indicates that some patients may not have received hydrocodone and oxycodone that the were said in the records to have been administered. For more, read the story.
