Premature Deaths of Residents at one Nursing Home Facility Not Investigated

One nursing home is facing consequences after instances of residents’ unexpected deaths went unreported. According to the law, these sorts of untimely deaths are to be reported to the Department of Health. Caregiver abuse, neglect, and mistreatment must be ruled out as a cause or aid to the residents’ deaths.

Consequently, the nursing home is facing both federal and state fines. The CEO of the nursing home facility declined to comment on the Director of Nursing and other supervisors’ failures to investigate these losses. For more, read the story.
