Senior Neglect “Cold Case” from 2015 May Be Reopened, According to Police

A 2015 case that was closed after an investigation for senior neglect returned cold is currently being re-reviewed by a prosecutor.  According to a report, the area’s local police requested the potential neglect case be reopened.  The incident involved a man at a nursing home facility who died from asphyxiation according to his death certificate; however, the son of the decedent alleges the facility told his family that his father died from natural causes.

Local prosecutors are determining whether manslaughter charges are applicable.  Back in 2015, a judge made the determination that the nursing home facility did not act inappropriately.  For more, read the story.
