State Run Nursing Home Falls Below Standard Quality Of Care

A state run nursing home has already paid more than $277,000 cumulatively. In addition the same facility is paying about $70,000 per month for a consultant to help bring the facility in compliance with new federal regulations. If the facility does not comply, it may lose funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. 

The facility offered that most of its violations fall within lack of reporting incidents at its dementia facility. Incidents occurring have involved physical, mental and sexual abuse from other dementia patients. For more, read the story
