College students are making new habits of spreading cheer to the elderly. Starting out as a program for students to volunteer at a local nursing home has opened the door to a new lifestyle. Students are now spending extra time volunteering outside the program requirements.
The students are finding opportunities to share love, joy and hope with the elderly. One recent visit included dressing up in costumes for Halloween. Students plan to visit for other occasions in the future. For more, read the story.
