Three nursing homes received multiple citations for survey violations such as unsanitary conditions, problems with staff, and failure to prevent injuries of patients. After viewing the results of their surveys, two of the three nursing homes arose to the challenge of correcting the issues. Many new rules and changes were set in place to improve the facility’s patient care. Another policy put in place to improve the nursing home is the new bimonthly meetings that staff and residents can attend offering everyone an opportunity to voice opinions and helps the residents set their own rules for the facility.
