Teen Sentenced to Jail After Impersonating a Physician Assistant in a Hospital

A Florida teen was sentenced last week to a year in jail for impersonating a physician assistant at a hospital. The then 17-year-old boy dressed wounds, examined disrobed patients, and performed CPR with zero medical qualifications. The teen was arrested in September 2011 after other hospital employees became suspicious.

Investigators later learned that the teen was hired as an office clerk but due to a paperwork error, the badge he received stated he was a physician assistant. Despite the his lack of qualifications, the teen went along with the part for about a month. Four months after his arrest, the teen was again arrested, this time for impersonating a police officer.
