Two individuals were arrested last weekend following an incident with a sedated medical center patient. One man is charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct and abuse of a vulnerable adult while the other is charged with neglect of a vulnerable adult, according to police.
According to police, the two men were at the regional medical center visiting a family member who had been injured in an accident earlier in the week when a nurse walked into the room and discovered one of the men with his hand under the sedated patient’s sheets and the other observing from the doorway.
The nurse told the men to leave and reported the incident to hospital officials. Investigators were able to identify the suspects using video surveillance. For more, read the story.
