Two nursing home care givers were arrested on assault charges. Among the victims were a disabled 52 year old man and a 17 year old woman. The man suffered a neck fracture and is now a quadriplegic. The young woman received first and second degree burns all over her upper body.
The attorney general had this to say, “Residents of nursing homes, group homes and patients in healthcare facilities are especially vulnerable and often isolated.Those who harm them, while being entrusted with their care and safety, need to be held accountable for their crimes.” For more, read the story.
