Two nursing home employees were charged for neglecting a disabled adult. Police stepped in to investigate after receiving a call from the Department of Children and Families. Conclusion from the investigation revealed the two women “failed to provide medical attention to a disabled resident in the group home.”
The patient will require surgery, although the neglect injuries sustained have not yet been made public. The nursing home is in a region that has the highest rate of verified reports of nursing home neglect and abuse in the state.
