A VA nursing home has been cited and identified as one of the lowest rated nursing homes in the country. Amid bed sores, overmedication, and staffing issues, patients are not receiving quality care. The care issues have little accountability per incidents cited by whistleblowers.
One whistleblower went to a supervisor about a coworker who was mistreating a patient and neglecting to maintain the patient's hygiene. As a result the coworker resign, but the whistle blower was fired 2 weeks later. Attendance was cited as the issue, however the whistleblower believes it was due to her coming forward about her coworker. For more, read the story.
