This campaign for the elderly follows others that encourage young adults to turn their attention towards the elderly. The Vatican used social media and the hashtag, “#aGiftofWisdom” to inspire young people to share wise words, a memory, advice, and sentiments from their grandparents and elderly friends. The commission joins other goals to “reform Italy’s system of elderly care,” which includes “shifting to an at-home approach” so “the elderly can stay in the places where they have lived.”
