A nursing home patient was killed by another nursing home patient who was his roommate at the facility. The patient who beat his roommate to death with a piece of furniture was taken to a state hospital to undergo a competency evaluation. The patient who was beaten was 86 years old. He was taken to the hospital the morning of the incident and died the following night.

A nursing home patient was found injured and later died after eloping from the nursing home facility in her wheelchair. The patient's wheelchair overturned allowing the woman to fall and become injured. A 78-year-old nursing home patient has died after suffering from 90 degree heat while sitting outdoors for over 3 hours. The patient suffered from dementia and was sitting on the outdoor patio of the nursing home facility. The patient was found dead and sent to the hospital for evaluation. The state department is investigating the incident and says charges may still be pending.
