Three nursing home employees have been charged with negligence of patients under their care at a nursing home. Two of the employees acted together to choke a patient according to the allegations. The same employees also pulled the hair of the patient and bent his leg back to his head. The other nursing home employee is accused of failure to report allegations of the nursing staff upon observation of the events that transpired.

A nursing home has been cited for putting patients at risk after leaving dementia patients and smoking patients unattended. The patients with dementia were left in a break room near two heaters with potentials for causing burns. A nursing home pageant was held among 11 nursing homes to crown a queen for this year. The pageant is held annually and takes into account personality, career before retirement, and attitude.
